 Christmas ornaments for this year, can you guess who picked what?

 The zebra is Jordan's, although I had my eye on it too. The owl was our collaborative pick for Avett, because when he's only 7 months, he gets pretty much no say and has to accept his parent's taste. And of course that means the balloon animal is mine. Below are some Mark Roberts Christmas fairies that we got too. The first one is small, and the other one is really large. You can't really tell in the pics.

You may not realize it, but Jordan is repeatedly rubbing the burp cloth all over Avett's face. This is one of his favorite games, in fact, the very first time he laughed was because he was getting hit in the face by a burp cloth (gently of course).

 We all got around the table to blow out my candles and Avett, who was soo excited crashed and passed out...

It was a great birthday though, carrot cake, lemon meringue pie, Avett going to bed early, and I got a Kindle. Thanks to all of you who sent me your Birthday loves!

Sleepy Time

Black Outs!

Valley Center saw an awesome thunder and lightening storm come through, very humid, but we did lose power when lightening struck a transformer... Avett was mesmerized by all the candles in the house..

Beat Boxing...Whaaaaaat?

Avett has been smiling, cooing, and sighing when he is happy. However, last night when Jordan started beat boxing, Avett's reaction was somewhat different. Just watch the videos already!

In his 4th month, Avett tackled new and exciting feats; He met Uncle Quincy for the first time.

Sometimes when you meet Uncle Quincy for the first time, you get so excited that you pull your hat over your eyes, and Uncle Quincy has to fix it for us..

Turner Family Reunion

 The Turner family reunion was so fun. We ate good food, laughed a lot, and caught up on each others' lives. We had a huge family get together in Corona, went to the beach, Mexican Veijo, VG donuts, and Charming Charlies. We also took family pictures. Our men put on their best GQ faces, while the girls couldn't stop smiling at them.

Egg yolk and avocado! It's the best! It's hard to get egg yolk out from between fingers, but it is easier to get it off of a sock!

Baby Avett!!!

So, we had a very eventful day yesterday; baby Avett came Sunday afternoon the 29th of April and man were we ready! At 9lbs. 1oz., Avett was the talk of the maternity ward with all of his cute hair and happy demeanor, and we couldn't be more happy about it, he is not one for crying, just makes himself known through little grunts which more often then anything just make us laugh! here are some pictures of our little boy:

He likes to keep his hands up by his face. Every ultrasound picture we have of him, has a little pudgy hand by his pudgy face. He likes to be swaddled so that his hands can be near his face. He also likes to be swaddled with enough room to stretch his legs completely straight. We can see that he enjoys having more room these days. 

 

One of the first times I could sit up in bed and hold our little man. I love all that hair!!

Baby Shower!

 My mom, Mother-in-Law, and Kendra Wilkensen through me a baby shower, and it was fantastic! Kendra was soo kind in hosting it at her house and she created a fun jungle theme for Baby T, with some awesome food too!

 Some of my friends that were in attendance, it was so fun to just spend time with our Valley Center friends because we have been gone for so long and even since we have been back we come and go, we definitely missed them!

 My Mother-in-Law made this super cool blanket for Avett to put his toys on and cuddle to. My Mom knitted some sweaters and onzies that are to die for, I will try to find a picture and post it.

This Bump is Outrageous

Today is my baby shower, and I am so excited to see all my wonderful friends and family. We get to eat yummy food, hang out, and catch up on all the happenings of our lives. I am grateful for all the people who care so much for me. I feel really blessed these days. 

We finally picked a name!!! Baby Turner is going to be Avett O'Quenn Turner when he enters this world (a-vet oh-que-win). It took a great deal of deliberation to come to this name, but we feel it was worth it. Hopefully he comes soon because we so look forward to meeting him.
